Please join the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Children’s Issues as they dive into the complexities of international parental child abductions.

This session will cover the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, for which the U.S. Department of State serves as the U.S. Central Authority. The convention provides a civil remedy for securing the prompt return of “wrongfully removed” or “wrongfully retained” children to their countries of habitual residence, and also addresses “access rights.” Participants will learn about opportunities to help families in need through the Hague Convention Attorney Network, a national volunteer attorney network.

This webinar will be hosted using Zoom. Registration is required by 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, to participate in this program. An email from MassBar Education will be sent before the program.
