Night at WBZ Radio highlights lawyers as ‘caretakers’
Members answer calls for Ask A Lawyer, Sheff promotes MBA on ‘NightSide’
The Massachusetts Bar Association shined a light on some of the
good work that lawyers do to support the public during a successful
night at WBZ News Radio 1030.
On Aug. 14, MBA members offered free legal advice to more than 120
Massachusetts residents through Ask A Lawyer, a call-in program
presented jointly by the MBA and WBZ Call For Action. Eight
volunteer lawyers staffed the Ask A Lawyer hotline from 7 to 9
p.m., answering calls on topics ranging from divorce and child
support to employment law, Social Security disability benefits and

helped promote Ask A Lawyer as a guest on WBZ Radio's "NightSide
with Dan Rea." Sheff discussed the MBA's Working Families, Consumer
Advocacy and Justice for All initiatives. He also touted several
other MBA programs that help to support Massachusetts communities,
including the Lawyer Referral Service, Dial-A-Lawyer, and the
association's legislative advocacy.
By the end of the interview, which included questions from outside
