State budget awaits governor’s signature
The state budget is on Gov. Deval Patrick’s desk awaiting his signature. Included in the budget is $9.5 million in funding for the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation. In a recently announced revised appropriation, the governor indicated his willingness to reduce MLAC’s funding to $8 million.
It is imperative that you contact the governor to encourage him to preserve MLAC’s funding at the $9.5 million that was enacted by the Legislature.
