Cutting Edge Trends in Personal Injury Practice

Note: Start Celebrating Member Appreciation Week early with a sneak preview, FREE for members only.

Join some of the industry leaders as they share their insights on cutting edge issues in personal injury practice. Join Douglas K. Sheff, Ira Leesfield, and Andrew C. Meyer, Jr. for a thought provoking discussion on:

• Traumatic Brain Injury
o Douglas K. Sheff was recognized by the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys with his receipt of the President’s Award for Excellence in Advocacy for his skillful representation of children and adults with traumatic brain injury as well as his commitment and dedication to serving brain injury victims within the underrepresented portions of our community. Often referred to as the “invisible injury”, technological advancements in PET Scans, Tesla MRI, as well as DTI/MRI have brought documentation, color, and understanding to traumatic brain injuries, no longer making brain injury “invisible.”

• Building Your Practice through Resort Torts/Travel Torts Cases
o Do you want new cases? Are you looking to bring in more business? Better business? Ira Leesfield will give you the information and motivate you to do just that. As chair of the Resort Torts Litigation Group, Leesfield has lectured and participated in a number of seminars to attorneys throughout the state of Florida and around the country on resort tort litigation. He has won millions of dollars in cruise or boating judgments and settlements.

• Medical Malpractice
o Recognized by Boston Magazine as one of Boston’s top lawyers, Andrew C. Meyer, Jr. has consistently achieved record-setting verdicts and settlements, including one of the largest personal injury awards in Massachusetts' history — $30 million including interest. Meyer is regularly called on to speak both to lawyers and medical professionals about the advances of medical malpractice and personal injury law. For more than two decades, Meyer has chaired and lectured at continuing legal education seminars for the American Association of Justice, the Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, and the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. He has been a lecturer at Boston University Law School, Harvard School of Public Health, and Suffolk University Law School.
